Independence Farm is the best equestrian facility to board and train in Illinois, across its vast, luxurious 60 acres. Our state of the art amenities provide trainers with the tools they need to help their students’ progress and for riders to feel welcomed, where they can indulge in their love of riding with ease. We also take pride in the upkeep of our horses, as we offer a horse treadmill, theraplate, customized feed program, and more.
At Independence Farm, we take pride in the well-being of our horses. Horses will enjoy the comfort of a large, heated barn with wide aisles and great ventilation. Our stalls with limestone base and rubber mats to ensure proper hygiene are cleaned twice daily and are bedded with the finest pine shavings. Beyond horse care, guests can enjoy our clubroom, heated arena, and free WiFi access.
Our plush 60-acre land provides riders with space to ride, breathtaking views, and direct access to horseback riding trails along the Des Plaines River and Independence Grove Forest Preserve. State of the art outdoor facilities include two large outdoor rings, a hunt field with jumps, a separate pasture for riding, as well as both grass and all-weather limestone paddocks. Our two outdoor arenas feature kruse cushion ride footing, so riders receive "Hunter Derby" style access to Hunt Field by jumping into and out of the arena.
